Have you ever fancied losing yourself among the beautiful islands of the Caribbean? Swimming in the pristine waters surrounded by exotic fish and turtles? Skimming over the warm turquoise waters at the helm of a yacht all while perfecting your sailing skills? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above, then Sail Racing Academy can help to make this a reality.

We have a choice of two one week “Skills and Drills” training adventures which are perfect for sailors of any ability. Enjoy embracing the beauty of the area and the hospitality of the islands as you hop from one beautiful location to the next while perfecting your sailing expertise.

Our experienced Skipper will teach you on board safety, marina handling and anchoring among other drills, with the added bonus of a night sail all while enjoying the experience of living on a 40 foot yacht. During the daytime, there will be opportunities to swim in the sea, visit traditionally unreachable sandy beaches and explore an underwater paradise. Evenings will be spent on land, enjoying the local hospitality, cuisine and rum punches that the Caribbean is famous for.

This isn’t an adventure for those who only want to sunbathe on the beach; this is an experience of a lifetime for those who want to push themselves, develop new skills and make friendships that last a lifetime. It’s an opportunity to discover new worlds above and below the water line, to watch the sun set and rise on distant horizons and to observe the stars.
Week 1 is an ideal introduction for beginners with its shorter sailing miles and long sail at the end of the week. Week 2 is good for those who would like to get some nautical miles under their belt or continue developing from week 1. Both weeks enjoy a night time sail and a whole day to explore an island destination. Bookings can be for 1 or 2 weeks.

Drills include- Night passage, Marina handling, Sailing up to mooring buoys, Sail trim and reefing, Man overboard rescues, Anchoring, Spinnaker work

Thrills include- Snorkeling, Wild life watching, Island exploration, Sailing!
