After several years finishing in Dartmouth, the Morgan Cup is once again headed to Guernsey in the Channel Islands, a rare but exciting return. Organised by the RORC in partnership with the Royal Thames Yacht Club, this is one of the more distinctive races on the calendar. Expect a fast-paced 18 to 24 hour offshore race across the Channel, navigating through tidal streams and around the Casquets TSS, with a likely finish in sight of the dramatic Castle Cornet guarding St Peter Port.
Guernsey offers a warm welcome with its deep-water harbour, charming cobbled streets, and excellent restaurants. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a rewarding night of racing.
Crew will join the boat in Hamble

Morgan Cup 2026 exact schedule has yet to be released. We do not believe the dates below will be altered, but please occasionally check this page as we will be updating it as soon as the full official schedule is released.
We’ll depart in the afternoon of Saturday with a view to being back in Hamble by Sunday evening. Please note that accommodation onboard once we’re all present can be quite tight.
Depending on the course chosen and the weather we expect to arrive in Hamble in the evening. We hope to have a quick meal together before those who are on a time limit head back home.
Please note that there is a chance of delay. You may not arrive back in Hamble until Monday if weather conditions are not suitable.
Before departure, we kindly ask everyone to help with a general cleaning and tidying of the boat.
