Packing Ethos 

Finding the balance between packing light and having the right kit on board can be challenging, we hope the lists below help. We always try and secure storage for items whilst racing and recommend a bag for storage and a bag for onboard whilst racing. Please avoid cotton as they are not suitable for the damp environment. There may be a temptation to assume that sailing in warm countries means foul weather gear will not be necessary, although we hope this is true we’d prefer you to prepare for the worst and hope for the best

Sun glasses (with strap to prevent loss)

Sun block

2 X Pair Shorts

Crew T-Shirt

Thermal base layer

Warm trousers

Fleece jacket

Sleeping bag & travel pillow

Sealskinz socks

Deck shoes / Sailing boots

Camera

Underwear

Toiletry bag

Lightweight quick dry Towel

Head torch that has a red only mode.

General Bag

Clothes for the crew party / evenings out and travelling

Tablet for entertainment on the go (preferable to a laptop or just go off grid)

Phone / camera charging leads

Glasses / Contact lenses as required.

Medication

If you rely on medication to maintain your health then we will ask you to bring at least twice the amount you expect to consume and store half of it in the grab bag.
